We are honored to be featured in an article Bakery on the Rise by Josh Gray of N Magazine.
Our favorite line: “’There isn’t a thing we can’t do,’ says a spunky Rebecca Moesinger in her new kitchen on Surfside Road. ‘We are a little powerhouse team.’”

45 Surfside’s new tables being cut and sanded by John McKenna
Construction progress continues thanks to the good weather this March!
Today new widows were installed!
It’s very exciting watching construction continue at 45 Surfside.
We’re finishing the exterior shingles and new windows and working on the parking lot. Thanks to Eben Construction for their great work this spring.
Next week we start on the front deck and the interior build-out. Check back here for photo updates!
At 45 Surfside a great cup of coffee is important to us. Naturally, we researched many coffee roasters and tasted countless coffees in our pursuit for that perfect cup.
One day in January we met Phil Schein, owner of Fazenda Coffee, at Fazenda Cafe in Jamaica Plain.
Yes, the coffee was delicious but what struck us even more was Phil’s passion for the foodservice industry and his strong beliefs regarding exceptional customer experiences. Sharing the same values we left that meeting feeling confidant and excited about our prospective relationship.
Like any budding business due diligence is important, so we went on to meet with several more coffee roasters. We tasted countless coffees and much to our delight an occasional latte. While there were some strong competitors, it was ultimately Phil’s passion and his great tasting coffee which led us to choose Fazenda as our supplier.
We are excited to bring this coffee to the island and believe that after one taste you will share in our excitement.
Whether you are on your way to work, dropping the kids off at school or heading to the beach, stop in at 45 Surfside for a bite to eat and a great cup of coffee. We look forward to serving you.
If you drive by 45 Surfside you’ll see that the cafe is underway.
Construction has begun on the outside including brand new windows and we’re looking at options for doors. It’s important to us that we make design decisions that will reflect the character of the island as well as practical and aesthetic.
We are so excited! We’ve waited a long time for this day but it has finally begun. The permitting process is challenging but we have a great team advising us.
Pictures coming soon.
We’ll see you at the Nantucket Wine Festival!
